On the other hand, we would probably be well served by everyone shutting up about the market for a little while. So, I'd sign a statement that bans the mention of the market in all art-criticism for six months and temporarily censor the word from my own criticism. Still, and what about related words like "commerce", "careerism", and "product", etc... that function similarly (mostly to avoid talking about our experience of the art or to assume someone's being cynical when they're really just being a crappy artist.)Elwyn Palmertonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12960036240060080086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8694556.post-61020245542245355122007-08-08T16:47:00.000-04:002007-08-08T16:47:00.000-04:00Yes, I would sign it.Yes, I would sign it.Nomi Lubinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07662026175506202868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8694556.post-27551938320769092212007-08-08T13:40:00.000-04:002007-08-08T13:40:00.000-04:00use of the word sexy to describe watches, kitchen ...use of the word sexy to describe watches, kitchen utensils, and the stock market is part of the war on sex. but sex has already lost, because desire has always been thoroughly administered.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
