  1. Blum and Poe set up a Luis Vuitton store inside MOCA in 2007 during their (yes, THEIR) Murakami show... Deitch can't top that. Deitch being a commercial dealer won't kill MOCA ... The commercialism is what already killed MOCA - the dealers in L.A. have been running the museum for over a decade. Deitch knows the parasite game and will bypass them for patrons. Wake the fuck up.

Deitch has "Alife' - and Elmgreen adn Dragset had a botique store in Marfa - not to mention Claus Oldenburg's "Store" or the artist run Soho restaurant "food" - I love that people market themselves as unprecedented when clearly there are precedents - can't we write better press releases to market these things around tropes and groups rather than individuals and events? Meaning, this kind of grandstanding is short sighted and self serving.nonic
