R.I.P. Maurizio Cattelan 1960-2009
Maurizio Cattelan's Posthumous Retrospective, at Triple Candie.
A timeline traces the arc of Maurizio's career.
"Death is the very last moment of pathetic intimacy, the most radical way to avoid public responsiblity." -
Francesco BonamiIt hearts.
Boy mourning the loss of Maurizio Cattelan.
The pigeons. Supposedly the retrospective includes the famous piece hidden under the floor.
So sad. What a waste.
Marizio is dead? Who is going to portage the art below the rapids? Who? Oh great voyagers, those without subway money, eating rice and beans at the mouth of the river, or the source, depending. Horror.
ReplyDeleteseems like triple candy keeps doing the same kind of shows over and over again, you know the kind i mean, fake shows, remakes of work, conceptual "jokes" but seems like they are becoming kind of a joke themselves becoming stereotypes of themselves. ok we get it.

Firewood dog = hot bitch?
yes trippel Candie is doing the institutional critique - and now is critiquing the Cattelan, who is sort of the Firewood Dog of the transnational art scene.
Why bother?
isn't this just a rip-off of the this guy's work?
