I;m not sure I condone showing your palette, or your painting rags - bringing the studio into the gallery and all that. Preparing your slides. Incubating the petri dish. Seems a bit clinical to me.
But I have wounds, many of them open, unhealing sores that keep on gifting me.

dona nelson is so underrated..
Her work is great. You have great taste in the work you highlight here.
I was her assistant in the summer of 2008 and I think i helped her work on that painting.
matthew that is awesome... i love her paintings.. and that you were an assistant to ron johnson. you have worked with some good painters!
I love Nelson's paintings, she works in a way that is clearly her own. And that is very hard to come by these days. I'm looking forward to seeing more of her work.
