My friend lives near an upstate NY town so small they have one combined parade for gay pride and fishing. Check out the photos on the link.

"For decades, the only bright side here in this Beaverkill Valley town in northwest Sullivan County has been the fishing. It has two world-class fishing spots -- the Little Beaverkill River and the Willowemoc Creek -- and is the sister town to nearby Roscoe, long known as Trout Town, U.S.A. The Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum is located in Livingston Manor, which is about two hours north of New York City in an area considered by locals to be the birthplace of fly-fishing in the United States.

But in recent years, Livingston Manor has undergone a rapid revitalization, primarily because of a large influx of gay Manhattanites buying homes and opening businesses here.

As a result, the town's longtime macho fly-fishing personality has developed a decidedly nonangling alter ego. Hip furnishing stores and funky cafes are now interspersed with gun shops and fly-fishing shops.

Nowhere were the two sides of Livingston Manor more apparent than in yesterday's first annual Trout Parade on Main Street."

My Grandfather ran howitzers in New Jersey during WWI, he made them out to be so much more badder-asser than that one. Oh well.
