This piece is included in the Nancy Shaver-curated group show in the top-floor space of the rear "carriage house" (it feels more like an old grain elevator/silo). Perfect piece for this space... all of the angles, the palette, the possibilities of function and purpose, the materials and treatment. Too good.

I really like Nancy's work and all of the ambiguities it contains. The sculptures you posted images of look really interesting.
John Davis is a great guy and gallery owner. I really like his program and gallery row in Hudson is really a cool place to visit. He really stands by his artists.
There are excellent used goods shops directly across the street from the galleries. The whole gentrification thing in Hudson is a good thing but it is strange.
At the end of the block there are projects and down the street you have the artsy-fartsy stuff. John's gallery definitely stands out.
John Davis opened a gallery in Manhattan a few years back but it folded because the investors pulled out. They barely gave him a chance to survive and succeed. I guess they wanted fast returns on the investment but things usually don't work that way in the art world.

Actually I have type 1 diabetes so my brain functions are a slave to my blood sugar levels. Ha! But as Fallon and Rosof warned me, this is all about ME and not the art. Rock on Nancy Shaver!
